This morning I woke up with bruises all over my body fully feeling the worth of each one. I just got home from a Four Year Strong concert in the City and I am proud to say I had the time of my life getting beat up. There's such an amazing energy at concerts like those. It's a pure expression of angst and joy. Hit me up. We'll go to the next one together.

"British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead after taking his own life."

This is terrible terrible news. :[
He was found 10:40 AM this morning.
Possible reasons include; the death of his beloved mother, Joyce, last Tuesday.
And also just three years ago his close friend, Isabella Blow - who plucked him from obscurity and helped him become a star - killed herself.
On February 3rd, he wrote: 'I'm letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...

Moments later, he added: 'But life must go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

This man was a genius.
I'm quite taken aback so I have very little to say today.
Rest in Peace.

I don't think it would be right if I didn't write about those suckers. Huffington Post asks, "Alexander McQueen's 10-Inch Stilettos Shock Paris: To Die For Or Will Kill You?" That made me chuckle. You may poll your opinion: Here!
I personally love them and have gained newfound respect for McQueen. His Spring 2010 RTW was phenomenal and widely talked about. Additionally, I discovered that McQueen makes a mean pair of kicks. I'm actually a bit of a sneakerhead so I was duely excited to hear this news.
Along with the Spring RTW, Supra also kicks off its Red Carpet Series. It's the ultimate fusion between sneaker and dress shoe. Supra has a reputation for classy sneakers and this series ties the knot. I love Supras but I might be biased because I listen to Mickey Factz who wrote a song completely centered around them called, "I like your Supra's". It's pretty catchy.

Additionally, I'm trying to find the perfect shoes to go with my prom dress that I'm making. I'll post pictures of that soon! But I'm definitely leaning towards Jeffrey Campbell. Is it too dress down to wear oxford flats or studded boots to prom? Whatever. I do what I want.
