Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture

Is it just me, or is the beading on each of these gowns is crazyretarded? I feel like Saab may be hiding a band of seamstress gypsies in the basement of his couture house who are only permitted 10 minutes of light and respite after finishing each gown. But please don't quote me on that.

Have you ever seen the movie "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" with Cate Blanchett? The wedding gown gives a definite Elizabethan vibe to me.

Whether you agree with me or not on that, that last look is absolutely AGHHHHMAZING. (If you were wondering, that was the official onomatopoeia for a chiffongasm.) It's just extravagant enough for such a neutral and elegant collection. The pastels and nudes add extraordinary youth making each of the models look like they're about to dissipate into the air. Wisp! Perhaps it is a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of beauty and youth... one can only ponder.

Yours Truly,
Mimz :)
